Dr. Ismary De Castro, MD, FACE is an Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism specialist in Savannah, GA.

Dr. De Castro graduated from the Ross University School of Medicine in 2006 and began her residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Dr. De Castro completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester NY in 2011. The following year she dedicated her time to studying hormone receptor signaling with Dr. Stephen Hammes at the University of Rochester and participated in a translational research study to better understand signaling processes in polycystic ovarian syndrome completing her endocrinology research fellowship in 2012.  She has published her work and findings in several medical journals including the Journal of Clinical Investigation and the Archives of Internal Medicine.

She joined Memorial Health in 2012 and has been practicing as an endocrinologist until opening her private practice in 2021.

Dr. De Castro is a Board Certified physician in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine.  She is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Thyroid Association, and the American Diabetes Association.

Dr. De Castro treats several conditions including, but not limited to, Disorders of the Pituitary, Thyroid, and Adrenal Gland, Diabetes, Low Testosterone, Osteoporosis, and other Metabolic Bone Disorders.
